The Search For Jimmy&Yves PartII By: LonegunCatWoman ************************************************************ Byers and Frohike were peering down the elevator shaft. "Well" Frohike said adjusting the rope around him. "Lets go." Byers swung out into the shaft first and moved down a few feet to make way for Frohike who was swinging above him. "Catch" Frohike called throwing Byers a flashlight. "Thanks Frohike. Hey Langly what do you have for us?" Byers said shining the light downward. "Well, not much. . .you're going down an elevator shaft" Langly said staring at the screen before him. "I cant find any information on anything other than that elevator shaft. Its like whatever it leads to was built after the original building was. And they never updated the blueprints." Frohike looked at Byers "Well we'll have to find out for ourselves." Byers nodded and looked down the shaft. "Ok Langly. You see if you can find anything else, were going in." Byers and Frohike made their way cautiously down the elevator shaft. With nothing but flashlights to show the way the searched for the entrance to a floor, and found nothing. Finally they reached the bottom of the shaft. There a single light glowed red by the elevator door. Next to that door stood a single door, most likely for maintence workers. Frohike twisted the knob and the door opened. "Hey Langly we found an open door at the bottom of the shaft, have you found anything yet?" Byers said adjusting his earpiece. "Well I managed to recover bits and pieces of the missing blueprints. There appears to be quite an underground facility there." Byers joined Frohike in front of the door. A long corridor stretched before them, dimly lit and deadly quiet, "Hey Langly did you get anything on a really big corridor?" Frohike asked peering down the corridor. "Well...All I got was a list of what looks like map legends, it mentions only one corridor... C. Corridor." Frohike shot Byers a look. "Well I dont know if this is C corridor, but well see what we can find. In the mean time you look for more info on C corridor, lets see we can piece this thing together and get outta here." Byers told Langly as he followed Frohike into the corridor before them. The corridor seemed to go on forever and Frohike and Byers were on the verge of turning around when the corridor suddenly branched into three smaller corridors. To the right was another endless expanse of hallway, to the left what appeared to be simple offices, and straight ahead an empty corridor ending at a pair of large double doors. Frohike turned to Byers "So which way do we go?" Byers looked at their options and then back at Frohike "I say we do what Mulder would do...we go straight" Frohike smiled "alright lets go" They moved slowly and cautiously towards the double doors. Stopping just in front of the doors they paused to look back the way they came and then pushed open the doors. They walked into what looked like a hospital ward of some type, but the hallways were empty and no nurses sat at what appeared to be the nurses station. Byers jumped when Langlys voice broke into his thoughts "Hey youll never guess who just showed up." Byers looked at Frohike "Jimmy and Yves?" he asked hopefully. "Nope. Mulder and Scully! They just got in the van with me a minute ago." Langly chuckled. Frohike smiled and Byers shook his head "Hey can they hear us Langly?" no response "Langly? Are you there?" Byers looked nervously towards the doors theyd just come through. "Hey Byers" Byers sighed in relief when he heard the familiar voice "Mulder? Is that you?" "Yeah its me.I heard you were looking for Jimmy and Yves, but why are you looking for them here? I thought this was a lab of some sort." Byers adjusted his earpiece "Yeah it is, but this was the last place Jimmy or Yves was seen. we dont know why they were here but our goal right now is to find them." He waited for a response "Byers they were working for me.We, that is, me and Scully, have reason to believe that there is a testing facility of some sort hidden in this building. It seems that a Dr. J. White was testing vaccines and antibiotics on animals, but got bored with that and moved on to bigger subjects" "What do you mean bigger subjects?" Byers asked. "I mean that they aren't testing puppies...and they aren't testing the flu vaccine either" Byers took in Mulders words...This was going to be a long night. <---To Be Continued--->
